Hi
I'm fairly new at GW and currently run a ele/ran in Prohecies, ele/ass in Factions and ele/warrior in Nightfall (I like elementalists...:-)). Could you give me a good build for these different characters?

My elementalists are currently focussed on fire magic since I like the AoE spells, but that's easy to change.

I'm happy for any and all help.

Take a look at the Campfire section ele subforum. There is a basic guide to playing an ele and also many threads on different builds.

You do realize you can change secondary after you ascend, right? So you can make 1 Elementalist and rnu it the way you do all 3 of your current ones. That said, it would be a good idea to take all 3 of them to all 3 campaigns to pick up skills for each. So, for example if you want to run your E/R with [Natural Stride], you wouldn't be able to since it is a Nightfall skill, and your E/R is a Prophecies character. Using only 1 of them, and allowing various builds to be used by opening secondaries and skills saves you time and money. But for discussion on actual builds, then as noted, you should post in the Campfire.

in other words - delete 2 of them and use only one to do all 4 chapters in order to be able to use all skill combinations on your character

- Replace [[Liquid Flame] with [[Meteor] for knockdowns. Be aware that [[Meteor] has a longer cast time than [[Liquid Flame], which can significantly decrease your damage abilities and allow opponents to interrupt you.
- Replace [[Resurrection Signet] with a hard res. [[Resurrection Chant] can be combined with [[Glyph of Sacrifice] for an instant, reusable resurrect.
- Adding in [[Mark of Rodgort] to keep constant burn on all enemies.
- For heroes, take a Mesmer secondary and replace [[Liquid Flame] with [[Drain Enchantment], and add the skills [[Leech Signet] and [[Power Drain]. With the hero's quick AI, they are able to interrupt very easily, providing good energy management to keep spamming [[Searing Flames].
- Replace [[Glyph of Lesser Energy] with [[Aura of Restoration] or [[Glyph of Restoration] if you have a harder time staying alive, but are able to manage your energy without it.
- It is possible to use [[Signet of Corruption] for additional energy management.
- [[Ebon Battle Standard of Honor], [[Ebon Battle Standard of Courage], or [[Ebon Battle Standard of Wisdom] provide nice party buffing
- [[Air of Superiority] to recharge skills and general self buffs
